Governance Structure

NORSAD consists of two legal entities, the NORSAD Fund and the NORSAD Agency.

The NORSAD Fund Board of Governors' main responsibilities are overall policy and decision making of NORSAD. Each member country has one seat on the Fund board.

The NORSAD Agency’s Board of Directors is responsible for management of the operations of the NORSAD Fund and its assets. There major activity is to evaluate and approve eligible projects for financing, delegating part of this responsibility to Agency management. The board has seven Directors, four from Nordic countries and three from SADC countries.

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) is responsible for the daily operation and management of the NORSAD Agency, as well as acting as the Secretary to the Board of Governors and Directors. The CEO is assisted by a management team consisting of a Chief Investment Officer and a Financial Manager, a number of Investment and Portfolio Officers and support staff. NORSAD is also represented by a Country Advisor in each of the SADC member countries.
